FAQs

What if my child doesn’t enjoy the class?

We offer a free trial class so your child can experience it without any commitment. This allows them to see if they enjoy the activities and feel comfortable before you decide to enroll. Our aim is to make every child feel welcome and excited to return!

Is this just for children who want to pursue a career in the arts?

Not at all! While we do prepare students who are passionate about pursuing a career in performing arts, many of our students join simply to have fun, make friends, and gain confidence. The skills they learn benefit them in all areas of life.

Are there opportunities for performances?

Yes! We regularly stage performances where students can showcase what they've learned in front of an audience. This is a great way for them to gain confidence and experience the excitement of performing live.

What qualifications do your instructors have?

All of our instructors are highly qualified, having trained at prestigious institutions such as LAMDA, Arts Ed, and Mountview. Many have extensive experience in West End productions, as well as in TV and film, ensuring your child is learning from the best in the industry.

Does my child need prior experience in performing arts?

No prior experience is required! Our classes cater to all levels, from beginners to advanced performers. Whether your child is new to performing arts or has already been in productions, we tailor our teaching to suit their individual skill level and growth.

How will performing arts help my child outside of the theatre?

Performing arts teaches much more than acting, singing, or dancing. Our students develop key life skills such as confidence, creativity, teamwork, and communication—all of which are invaluable in school, social settings, and future careers.

Do you offer additional training for children who want a career in performing arts?

Yes, we do! For children who are passionate about pursuing a career in performing arts, Spotlights has a dedicated talent agency that regularly secures professional work for our students in film, TV, and theatre. Our instructors provide additional guidance to help children prepare for auditions and build their careers in the industry.

Are there any additional costs I should be aware of?

We aim to keep our fees as competitive and inclusive as possible. Unlike some schools, we provide all costumes for performances at no extra cost. We also offer monthly payment plans to help spread the cost of classes, making it easier for families to manage. Our goal is to ensure every child has the opportunity to shine without financial barriers.
